3 dashes Angostura bitters
Liquid sugar/simple syrup (to taste)
2.5 oz (75 ml) bourbon (minimum 8 years old)
1 2-inch strip orange rind
In a whisky glass add a few splashes of bitters.
Add one ice cube and a splash of the sugar.
Stir, using the muddler end of a bar spoon.
Add two more ice cubes.
Add some more ice.
Add half the bourbon and some more ice.
Add some more ice and the rest of the bourbon.
Over the top of the glass, squeeze the oil out of the orange rind.
Place the orange rind in the glass.
